Martin Bunyard, 23/11/2016

Yarding 5500 Change 0

Yarding numbers remained the same as the previous store sale. It was a very mixed quality penning of cattle, with large numbers of aged western sorts consigned. Good numbers of restocker buyers were keen to secure light weight yearling steers, while solid competition continued between restocker, feedlot, and NSW processor buyers for light weight yearling heifers. Processors showed more interest in cows and restocker buyers provided good competition for store cows.

Light weight yearling steers hit 426c and averaged between 371c and 397c/kg. Medium weight yearling steers to feed topped at 378c and averaged 353c, while those to restockers made to 416c and averaged 358c/kg.
