Weekly NLRS sale commentary:

Yarding 4200 Change 751

Extra feedlot buyer competition pushed medium and heavy weight yearling steer prices up by 6c to 17c/kg on average. Price gains of up to 15c were recorded for light weight yearling heifers returning to the paddock and to southern processors, while medium weight yearling heifers to feed lifted 16c/kg on average.

Light weight yearling steers hit 225c and averaged 205c, up 12c, while D muscled sorts sold to 182c and averaged 171c, up 10c/kg.
