Numbers fell slightly with just over 350 cows penned.

All of the usual export buyers were at the sale and processors were selective when trying to buy well finished stock.

Vealers were limited and competition was erratic. The pick of the vealers sold from 266c to 406c/kg.

There was weaker demand for trade steers which was a reflection on the quality. Trade steers slipped 15c while the heifer portion gained 10c selling from 280c to 320c/kg.

In the export sale domestic and export processors competition increased because of the limited few.

Heavy bullocks improved 15c making from 266c to 302c/kg. Heavy steers jumped 40c to average 324c/kg. The similar sized offering of cows met mixed competition.

The better finished heavy cows were unchanged to 4c dearer selling from 200c to 232c/kg. Leaner D2 and D3 cows were in short supply.

rices ranged from 150c to 170c/kg.
