Gunnedah offered 2400 mixed quality cattle a decrease of 550 head. Cows bore the brunt of considerably cheaper trends of up to 30c/kg for that category. The regular buyers attended and operated to a mostly dearer trend for the balance of the young cattle.

Weaner steers to restockers much dearer 420c to 462c/kg light vealer heifers 330c/kg to process. Yearling steers 280 kgs to background firm 312c to 420c/kg. Steers under 330kgs to feed up to 28c/kg dearer 330c to 412c/kg. Medium feeders gained 5c/kg 328c to 412c/kg. Heavy feeders dearer 340c to 384c/kg and processing steers to 360c/kg. Heifers 330kgs to feed gained 22c/kg 304c to 336c/kg. Medium backgrounder heifers dearer 327c to 332c/kg and similar feeders made 342c/kg. Heavy feeders gained 13c/kg and averaged 323c/kg.

Grown heifers lost 18c/kg making 290c to 330c/kg. Cows to cheaper trends with heavy cows 270c to 289c/kg. Heavy bulls to 290c/kg.
