Buyer attendance was good with all the major exporters in the market and operating. Prices improved for a number of classes with cows, heavy grown steers and bullocks receiving the largest gains.

A fairly large selection of light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock experienced only quality related price changes, however medium weight yearling steers to feed averaged 7c/kg better.

A relatively small selection of heavy weight yearling steers to feed averaged 5c/kg dearer. A better quality line up of light weight yearling heifers improved in price, and medium and heavy weight yearling heifers to feed also sold to a dearer trend. A small number of heavy grown steers and bullocks lifted in price by 28c to 35c/kg. The large selection of cows was dominated by good heavy cows, and average prices improved by 16c to 28c and over 30c/kg in places. A pen of steer calves made to 326.2c with most around 285c and heifer calves made to 248.2c/kg. Light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock made to 310c to average 279c and poor quality lines averaged 247c/kg. Medium weight yearling steers to feed made to 289.2c with the largest numbers around 272c/kg. Heavy weight yearling steers to feed made to 288.2c to average 280c/kg.

Light weight yearling heifers made to the occasional 246c to average 222c/kg. The largest sample of medium weight yearling heifers to feed averaged 238c with some to 268.2c/kg. Heavy weight yearling heifers to feed averaged 263c with one large consignment reaching 272.2c/kg. Heavy grown steers to export slaughter averaged 286c and made to 292.2, while a few bullocks made to 297.2c to average 293c/kg. Medium weight 2 score cows averaged 174c, and the best of the medium weights made to 240.2c to average 229c/kg. A large number of good heavy cows mostly sold around 236c, with sales to 240.2c/kg in pen lots. Heavy bulls made to 244.2c/kg.
