Yarding 3060 Change -163

Export buyer attendance was good and most were operating.

The usual feed and trade buyers were also present plus some additional restockers.

Plain condition lines dominated the cow section, along with a reduced number of good heavy cows.

Light weight young cattle sold to stronger demand especially the heifer portion.

Yearling steers under 330kg to feed averaged 14c/kg better, while the medium and heavy weights to feed sold to a cheaper trend.

Most classes of yearling heifers to feed sold to a dearer market.

Plain condition cows improved in price by up to 20c/kg pushed on by stronger support from restockers and processors.

Good heavy cows to processors could not maintain the levels of the previous sale.

Yearling steers under 200kg made to 480.2c with a fair sample averaging 450c/kg. Yearling steers under 280kg to restockers average 435c and made to 465c/kg.
