All the regular export processors plus feeder operators and trade buyers were in attendance and operating along with a larger lineup of restocker buyers.
Light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock lifted in price by 7c to 8c/kg and more in places. Medium and heavy weight yearling steers and heifers to feed generally sold to strong demand.
Light weight yearling heifers returning to the paddock or background averaged 7c to 9c/kg better.
The increased number of bullocks penned received very little change in price.
However most classes of cows sold to a dearer trend with improvements of 2c to 9c/kg, with plain condition classes improving the most.
Yearling steers under 200kg made to 473.2c to average 449c/kg. Yearling steers under 280kg averaged 442c and made to 474.2c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market made to 446c to average 412c, and medium weights averaged 389c/kg. Heavy weight yearling steers to feed made to 392.2c to average 384c/kg.
Yearling heifers under 200kg made to 446c to average 409c/kg. Yearling heifers under 280kg average 405c and made to 443c/kg. Yearling heifers to feed for the domestic market averaged 372c and made to 398c/kg. Heavy weight yearling heifers to feed averaged 379c and made to 382c/kg.
Heavy grown steers to export processors averaged 324c, and the bullock portion 333c with sales to 341.2c/kg. Poor condition cows returning to the paddock averaged 257c and made to 263.2c/kg. Medium weight 2 scores to processors averaged 254c and made to 264c/kg.
Good heavy cows averaged 289c with the occasional sale to 299.2c/kg.
Heavy bulls made to 319c/kg.

A large attendance of buyers today with a strong market right through and a quality line of cattle were presented. There were some excellent lines of weaner steers and heifers with some very spirited bidding.
