Yarding 4512 Change 237

The large panel of export buyers included some Victorian export operators.

The regular feeder buyers plus restockers were in attendance and operating.

Buyers were selective on the young light weight cattle, however good quality lines were in demand.

Medium and heavy weight yearling steers to feed averaged 4c to 7c/kg better. Yearling heifers experienced only quality related price changes.

Medium weight 2 score cows received very little change in price, with good competition from restockers as well as processors. However the better condition cows averaged 4c to 9c/kg less, compared to a very good market the previous week.

Yearling steers under 200kg to restockers made to 476.2c to average 438c/kg. Yearling steers under 280kg also to restockers made to 456c to average 427c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market made to 438c to average 407c, and medium weights made to 423c to average 395c/kg. Heavy weight yearling steers to feed made to 400c to average 387c/kg.

A couple of B muscle classes to the trade made to 414.2c/kg. Yearling heifers under 200kg made to 448c to average 397c/kg. Yearling heifers under 280kg made to 426c, with a large sample averaging 393c/kg. Yearling heifers to feed for the domestic market made to 417c to average 391c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed averaged 358c with sales to 397c/kg. A handful of B muscle classes to local butchers made to 419.2c/kg.
