Livecorp chairman Roly Neiper has announced the appointment of Robert Sutton as the new chief executive officer of the live export sector’s service delivery company.
Mr Neiper said Mr Sutton, pictured left, had had more than 25 years’ experience working closely with Australian agriculture, developing large scale agribusiness trade and investment opportunities around the world.
In his former position at Austrade, he worked closely with the live animal export industry internationally as a spokesperson, policy advisor and trade facilitator, most recently in Indonesia.
“Robert Sutton is keen to meet all live export industry members and stakeholders in the near future and develop the industry to meet contemporary standards expected of it by the Australian community,” Mr Neiper said.
As reported on Beef Central on May 11, Livecorp’s current chief executive, Cameron Hall, will leave the company on July 1 to take up a senior appointment with agency business, Landmark.
His decision to move-on was made in March this year, well in advance of the current industry crisis faced in the Indonesian trade.
