Smartphone users can now enjoy greater access to the latest beef industry news, market updates and industry exclusives wherever they travel with Beef Central’s new mobile website.
Beef Central is committed to delivering the best online news and information for Australia’s beef and cattle industry, and today takes that commitment a step further with the launch of a mobile phone version of the Beef Central website.
The technology has the look and function of an 'app', and is designed to work in conjunction with all types of smartphone including iPhone, Android and Blackberry devices.
Until now, readers visiting Beef Central via their Smartphones have had to view the full version of the website which is optimised for desktop, laptop and tablet viewing.
Our mobile website condenses the best parts of Beef Central into a simple app-like format that makes it easier to read our daily headlines and articles on a smartphone.
The mobile site has been launched to coincide with Australia’s premier beef industry event, Beef 2012 in Rockhampton, and will ensure that visitors can keep track of Beef Central’s round-the-clock coverage of the week-long expo via their handheld phones while on the grounds.
And the good news is that, just like the Beef Central website, Beef Central’s mobile version is free for readers to use and access as well.
The mobile website can be accessed on your smartphone by simply typing www.beefcentral.com into your phone’s browser.
Once you have opened the site you can then add it to your home screen by pressing the icon: at the bottom of your screen and selecting “add to home screen”.
