WELCOME to Beef Central’s new-look rural property section, which includes a host of features which will deliver readers the most comprehensive and authoritative rural property market coverage in Australia.

It’s no secret that property news always rates well with Beef Central’s readers across the nation and overseas, and the launch today of “Beef Central – Property” (click this highlighted link to access) goes a long way towards lifting that content to a whole new level.

Three months in development, “Beef Central – Property” will include a number of important and innovative  features, previously unseen in the Australian rural property landscape. These include:

  • Separate tabulated listings of recent property transactions, and grazing properties recently listed for sale, drawn from across Australia. Listings on these pages are designed to accommodate cattle and sheep grazing properties of a ‘living area’ or larger, in size. Auction, private treaty, Expressions of Interest and other sales modes will be included, from all agencies active in the rural property market across the nation, using information gathered by a team of dedicated researchers and analysts.
  • Comprehensive weekly reports and analysis on rural property trends and issues. These reports will touch on a host of topics impacting on the rural property market.

Handy search functions:

One of the  unique features included in the new tabulated Upcoming Sales listings and Recent Property transactions pages are their interactive search functions.

These allow readers to search for individual properties by name, or by using a selection of filters (location, sale date, land area, sale status, for example) to sort entries to narrow down the field of interest.

Over time, entries contained on these pages will grow into the nation’s most comprehensive package of sales information covering grazing land transactions – useful for research, comparison and other purposes.  It is designed to help investors, buyers, vendors and those simply interested in watching the grazing property market keep up with recent or historic property sale outcomes and events.

Content for the Upcoming Sales and Recent Transactions pages will be updated weekly.

Beef Central’s daily news alert subscribers will also receive a free, weekly property news alert, providing headlines and links to important property industry news and developments as they occur.

The new property platform will be featured, also, on Beef Central’s sister publication, Sheep Central, from early next week.

“Beef Central- Property” is accessible via the navigation bar appearing at the top of the website home page, or directly from the free weekly news alert sent to subscribers.

Brilliant concept. There’s nothing else like it available. This has potential to grow into a really useful resource over time.

    Well done lads!

Be sure to understand whether the property is sold WIWO (as it should be), or on a BARE basis; so able to compare apples with apples.
Remember, Beast Area Valuation is a WIWO concept, and a property may be quoted on a dollar per unit of area (DUA) on a WIWO or BARE basis.
BAV divided by the sustainable stocking rate (SSR) equals implied DUA.
For true accuracy, ask for the apportionments on sale between Stock, Plant & Equipment, and Depreciated Replacement Cost of Improvements, with Land (implied un-improved value) being the residual; or what is left.
In that way your data-base will retain consistency and verifiable integrity.

    Good Luck!

    Michael Vail
