RMAC seeks leaders to steer beef future

The Red Meat Advisory Council is seeking expressions of interest from red meat and livestock industry stakeholders who are interested in joining the Australian beef industry’s Sustainability Steering Group.

Under the baseline Australian Beef Sustainability Framework Report, published earlier this month, a Sustainability Steering Group is required to provide leadership to the next phase of the ABSF.

RMAC is seeking individuals with the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven leader in Australia beef and livestock production across the value chain or sector specific (e.g. on farm, feedlot, manufacturing,exports);
    Demonstrated ability to collaborate at a board or advisory group level to deliver transformative outcomes;
    Expertise or significant ongoing interest in improvement in animal welfare, environmental management or business management (financial and human resources) with a beef industry or food production focus;
    A strong understanding of changing beef consumers demands and future drivers for growth for the industry; and
    Time to contribute to at least four face to face meetings per year
