27 weaners stolen from property near Roma

Beef Central, 14/03/2017

Police from the Roma Stock and Rural Crime Investigation Squad are currently investigating the theft of 27 Brahman cross weaners.

The weaners were stolen from a property about 100km south of the township of Roma.

The weaners were stolen from inside the stock yards located within the property.

SARCIS Detective Sergeant Scott Jackson said the weaners were being fed due to the current extreme conditions being faced by this family.

“The animals were taken over the weekend, whilst the owners travelled overnight to collect farm equipment,” Detective Sergeant Jackson said.

“To their horror and disbelief, unknown person have backed a truck into the yards and taken the 27 weaners.”

All animals are branded and earmarked with the below earmark and brand.
