Ian and Ivan Price of Moongool Charolais, Yuleba, sold 434kg Charolais heifers to 310c/kg to return $1347.

Some welcome rain and cooler conditions has allowed a larger supply of stock to be moved more comfortably with numbers increasing 31%.

Quality continues to be mixed and restockers provided plenty of competition on young light weight yearling steers, with average prices improving by 6c/kg. However, feeder demand eased with medium and heavy weight yearling steers losing 5c to 6c/kg. Light weight yearling heifers to restockers could not maintain the improved prices of last week losing 5c to 10c/kg. Cows sold close to the reduced prices experienced the previous week.

Light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock made to 418.2c with a large sample averaging 379c/kg. Medium weight yearling steers to feed made to 368.2c to average 342.2c/kg. Heavy weight yearling steers made to 330.2c to average 323c/kg. The largest numbers of light weight yearling heifers sold to restockers to the occasional 361.2c to average 337c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed made to 325c to average 306c/kg. A large run of certified supplementary fed heifers made to 310.2c to average 303c, while a large number of heavy weights made to 310.2c to average 296c/kg.

A small selection of heavy grown steers made to 295.2c to average 284c/kg. Medium weight 2 score cows made to 218c to average 213c, while the best of the medium weights averaged 231c/kg.
